Chapel Hill Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Mc Henry, Illinois.
The golf course traces its roots to 1899, when links were said to be "Recently located." Local lore suggests that the club began as a three or four hole course at that time.
In August of 1919 Chapel Hill Country Club, now a nine hole course, was the location for a Pro-am Tournament. Cartoonist Sidney Smith (creator of the Andy Gump cartoon character) was one of the main participants.
Additional land was purchased in 1927 to allow room to improve the 9 hole course. In 1965, more land was purchased. The eighteen hole course was completed in 1968.
